I’m Venkatarangan.
I am a software services veteran with over 25 years of experience building, scaling and advising technology businesses. As a strategic thinker deeply versed in both technology and business, I coach technology founders to transform into confident leaders and assist them in making pivotal decisions during their company’s growth. Holding the honorary title of Microsoft Regional Director since 1999 and as an IEEE Senior Member, I am a recognized speaker at technology and business forums worldwide.
My expertise in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM) centers on crafting business solutions through intelligent applications, optimizing them to enhance productivity and deliver tangible value to customers. This approach not only clarifies the potential benefits and risks but also supports companies in adopting AI responsibly and efficiently. As a technical mentor for the Microsoft for Startups program, I helped early-stage startups strategically integrate AI into their core solutions.
My career began in the 1990s when I developed an inventory system for a publishing house, igniting my passion for transformative software solutions. More recently, I created Simpligic, a U.S. patent-pending news app that uses machine learning to personalize user experiences, showcasing my proactive approach to integrating AI within practical applications.
As the founder and former CEO of Vishwak Solutions, I spearheaded the company’s growth into a regional powerhouse with offices in India, Seattle, and London. I also co-founded a fintech startup that creatively leveraged Azure AI for business document management. Currently, I serve as an advisor to the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation – House of Kalam, Rameswaram, and am actively involved with the Tamil Virtual Academy, working to enhance digital libraries and promote Tamil computing.
